This course provides students with a strong foundation in keyboard skills, covering essential techniques, music theory, and chord progressions. Students will learn how to accompany various musical styles and gain the confidence needed to perform solo and ensemble pieces. Through hands-on practice and personalized instruction, students develop both technical proficiency and an understanding of the role of the keyboard in worship.
Our woodwind program introduces students to a range of woodwind instruments, such as the flute, clarinet, and saxophone. Students learn about breath control, finger placement, and tone production, along with the unique qualities of each instrument. Through individual practice and group ensembles, students master techniques to enhance both their technical skills and their ability to lead worship.
This course covers both string and percussion instruments, giving students a well-rounded understanding of rhythm, harmony, and accompaniment. Students will learn to play instruments such as the guitar, bass, drums, and various hand percussion instruments. They’ll develop timing, coordination, and ensemble playing skills essential for supporting worship music and dynamic performances.
In this class, students are trained in vocal technique, breath control, and pitch accuracy. They learn to use their voices to their fullest potential, with a focus on singing in harmony and leading worship. Students also explore vocal health, tone quality, and expression, equipping them with the confidence to use their voices effectively in a variety of musical settings.
This foundational course introduces students to the basics of music theory, notation, and ear training. By learning scales, intervals, chords, and rhythm, students develop a solid understanding of music structure. This knowledge serves as the bedrock for all other courses, helping students interpret and create music with greater depth and comprehension.
Our performance and recording course prepares students for live worship performances as well as recording sessions. Students gain experience performing solo and in groups, learning stage presence and microphone techniques. Additionally, they are introduced to basic recording techniques, including equipment setup, sound mixing, and digital audio editing, giving them the skills to produce quality recordings.
